The heavy downpour on Sunday evening could do nothing to dampen the spirit of team
Salaga
during the pre-release event. Chief guests included former chief minister
Siddaramaiah, D K Shivakumar,
Puneeth Rajkumar. Shivarajkumar and Upendra.
As producer K P Sreekanth ensured everything went well, Duniya Vijay, Dhananjaya and Sanjana Anand interacted with the media and guests. Director
Vijay seemed to be the most excited as he animatedly discussed the film and his expectations from its release. Also present were dialogue writer
Maasthi
and composer Charan Raj.
As guests wished the team luck, there were some fun moments on stage. The best was when Shivarajkumar re-enacted a classic scene from Om, with Puneeth Rajkumar calling the shots on stage. Upendra, the director of the original, was thrilled to see the performance.
Current sensations Geetha and
Girija Siddhi
, who sang the Salaga promo song, performed on stage to a lot of cheers.
The event also saw Dhananjaya’s friends, Nagabhushana,
Poornachandra Mysore
and Amrutha Iyengar, turn up to wish the team. Dheeren Ramkumar was also present.
