Ragini Dwivedi and the team of her upcoming Kannada cop flick Ragini IPS are on a mission -- to get more women join the police force. And towards this, they are launching a unique scholarship programme in collaboration with a coaching centre. As part of the scholarship programme, five deserving female IPS aspirants will be provided financial assistance through their training period, says Ragini, who launched the programme on Wednesday.
"It would be fabulous to see more women join the force," says Ragini, who plays an IPS officer in her release this week. A source adds that Ragini has taken a personal interest in ensuring that the scholarship is launched as soon as possible and hints that the actress will make a financial contribution towards the same, instead of just being the face of the programme.
Ragini IPS, directed by national-award winning filmmaker Anand P Raju is slated for a March 28 release.
