Rachita Ram is elated because she will soon commence shooting for April, a film that is completely centered around her. “This is a heroine-based subject, if we were to classify it that way, and it is easily one of the best scripts that I have come across so far,” she shares excitedly. To be helmed by debutant director
Satya Rayala and backed by the makers of 8MM, the film is based on true incidents.
It has Udith Haridas as music composer, Arjun Shetty as cinematographer and Pratheek Shetty onboard as the editor.
Satya says, “The film is titled April because Rachita’s character is named April D’Souza. Just as April is the second month of spring, our protagonist too gets a second chance in life, which is the reason behind her name. This is a thriller and Rachita’s character drives the film, as she is there for nearly 70% of the film.”
