Puneeth Rajkumar is one of the superstars in Kannada film industry and son of a legend Dr Rajkumar. He is known for his dancing skills and amazing acting in the industry, and has gained a huge fan following independently on the basis of his skills. Puneeth made his debut as a child artist with the movie ‘Premada Kanike’ in 1976 along with his father. After ‘Parashuram’, where Puneeth Rajkumar last appeared as a child artist, he made his first lead debut in 2002 with the movie ‘Appu’ along with Rakshita.
Today, it's been 18 years since Puneeth Rajkumar made his debut as an actor. This movie was directed by Puri Jagannadh.
Later, 'Appu' was remade in Telugu, Tamil, Bengali and Bangladeshi Bengali films. It was the second Kannada film to be remade in Bangladeshi Bengali after the 1986 release of Rajkumar ‘Anuraga Aralithu'. It was also the third film to be remade into four languages after ‘Schoolmaster’ and ‘Anuraga Aralithu'.
Puneeth Rajkumar fans have been celebrating 18 years of ‘Appu’ by creating and circulating posters on social media. Puneeth Rajkumar is currently busy with ‘Yuvarathnaa’ and ‘
