Last week, the censor board gave Hattrick Hero Shivarajkumar’s upcoming film Bhajarangi an ‘A’ certificate since the film has some violent action sequences. The actor recently said at a press conference that action films should be given a ‘U/A’ certificate and not an ‘A’ certificate as family audiences may not watch them. Saying that he is disappointed with the certification that
Bhajarangi has got, Shivanna said that the censor board should be a lenient at times.
He said that his film should not have got the certification that it did as it is a clean film. Although there is violence, he said that there is more violence and sex on TV and parents can’t sit with their kids and watch these shows.
Shivarajkumar said that this was his personal opinion, but asked the reporters gathered at the press conference to watch the film and decide for themselves if
Bhajarangi is cleaner than TV serials or not. He even went as far as to say that if he is proven wrong, he will leave the film industry.
