Soorappa Babu takes direction route

Sandalwood producers seem to be smitten by direction. After Shankar Gowda, another producer to wear the director’s hat is Soorappa Babu. He will be soon directing Jooju, which will mark his debut in Sandalwood as a director. Shivakumar will be producing the project.
Producer Soorappa Babu, who has produced movies like Tarle Nan Maga, Kotigobba, Kadamba and Pruthvi, is yet to finalize the star cast of his directorial.The official announcement of the film is expected to be made soon. Babu, known to produce action based movies, will also produce Sudeep's film that will be directed by Tamil director K S Ravikumar.
It could be remembered that in the year 2012, Soorappa Babu had approached KFCC in return of the amount he had given to Shivarajkumar as an advance for the movie Varada. The amount was said to be Rs 20 lakh.
