Speaking to reporters, M N Kumar, who has produced Kichcha Sudeep starrer Maanikya, Mukunda Murari and Ranga SSLC, said, “The issue could have been solved at KFCC instead of approaching the court. Sudeep is asking for the proof, I am ready to provide it, if he comes to the chamber.”

Supporting M N Kumar, a member from Kannada film Producers Association said, “For the first time in the history of Kannada film industry, an actor has approached the court against a producer which will set a bad precedent. We consider KFCC as a high court, so, whatever the issue is, we could have solved it amicably by consulting our senior members.”

M N Kumar had made allegations that Sudeep had taken a certain amount as a remuneration agreeing to do a film, but he evaded him. He demanded the money back from Sudeep or he must honour the commitment as he had promised.
