Pramod Shetty joins the sets of Kabzaa

Actor Pramod Shetty has joined the ensemble cast of

Kabzaa

as an antagonist. The film is based on a gangster subject and already has Kabir Duhan Singh, Kota Srinivas, Jagapathi Babu, Danish Akhtar Saifi and Kamraj as villains. Directed by

, it sees Pramod Shetty sharing screen space with Upendra for the first time in his career.

Pramod says, “My role is set in the 1960s so my look has been changed according to that period. I had a fight sequence opposite Upendra who is an inspiration to me, as I grew up watching his movies during my college days. As a co-artiste, he was amazing. He made me comfortable on the sets and I have a couple of sequences left to shoot with him.”

The actor, who was seen in the latest release Hero, says he doesn’t want to stick to a particular genre of roles. “I have been getting a lot of cop roles which I have rejected. I prefer variety in characters which people will get to see in Pentagon, Toothu Madike and Hari Kathe Alla Giri Kathe,” he signs off.
