Poet-lyricist Vyasa Rao no more

MN Vyasa Rao is no more. The noted Kannada poet and lyricist passed away at his Bengaluru residence yesterday. He was 73 and is survived by his wife, daughter and son.
According to reports, Vyasa Rao — who was a lyricists for many of Puttanna Kanagal's films — suffered a massive cardiac arrest while he was having breakfast at home.
Vyasa Rao was also a novelist and has written several Kannada novels, as well as short stories, having won the Karnataka Rajya Sahitya Academy award for the short story collection, Maleyalli Neneda Maragalu.
