Pawan Kumar to direct Hindi remake of Lucia?

It may have been a difficult task putting together the funds for his film Lucia, forcing director Pawan Kumar to make it the first Kannad film to be funded through crowd sourcing. But now that the film has been released and appreciated by critics and audiences, offers for remakes are apparently coming in. If reports are to be believed, Pawan has sold the remake rights for a Hindi version to Fox Star Studios, and it is understood that the filmmaker will direct this film as well.The deal was apparently struck at NFDC's Film Bazaar in Goa.
Lucia, about a theatre usher who has trouble sleeping and has a life-changing experience after taking pills that 'help him sleep', starred Neenasam Sathish in the lead. The makers, we hear, are on the lookout for a bankable Hindi movie star for the Bollywood version. Pawan is believed to be reworking the script a little for a national audience.
