Pavan in the running for Best Director Award
The filmmaker has been nominated for his debut feature, Govindaya Namaha
Director Pavan Wadeyar, whose debut directorial Kannada feature film Govindaya Namaha, was a surprise hit of the year gone by, is possibly being recognized for his effort. The filmmaker has been nominated in the Best Director category at the upcoming Udaya TV Film Awards.
Govindaya Namaha was the story of a man called Govinda who falls in love with four girls and had Komal, Parul Yadav, Madhulika, Rekha and Anna in the lead.
The highlight of the film, though, was its song Pyaarge Aagbittaithe, which featured Komal and Parul and went viral on a video-sharing site much before the film's theatrical release. The song had lyrics by Pavan.
Govindaya Namaha, meanwhile, has fetched a nomination for lead actress Parul in the Best Actress category. The actress is also slated to perform at the event.
Pavan is currently busy shooting for his next film, titled Googly, which stars Yash and Kriti Kharbanda in the lead.
