Parvathi Menon created record when her debut Sandalwood film Milana saw 1000 days run at the box-office in 2007. Now, the actresses’ Tamil film Maryan, opposite Dhanush is garnering amazing response at the box office. Reports say the makers of the film are planning to dub the film in Hindi and re-release it for pan-India audience. Reports say along with theatres in
Tamil Nadu, Karnataka theatres are also witnessing massive crowd to watch the film.
Parvathi did four Kannada movies--
Milana, Male Barali Manju Irali, Prithvi and Andhar Bahar--and all of them received good response from the audience. Trailers of
Maryan created lot of buzz around the film. The film revolves around the story of human survival and grit under extreme situation. The film is said to be based on real-life story of kidnapping of Indian oil workers in Sudan by pirates.
The film has been written and directed by
Bharat Bala. Oscar-winning music director AR Rahman has scored the music for Maryan.
