The Kannada feature film ‘Ondanondu Kaladalli Obba Raja idda’, based on the story ‘Once There Was a King’ by Rabindranath Tagore, is 116 minutes and 39 seconds long and has Yogesh Master playing 24 characters. 13 technicians had worked on the film which has received many national and international awards."
It is the story of a grandmother narrating a story to her seven-year-old grandchild, Rubey, involving a king and queen. A small boy slips into an imaginary world while experiencing the story. He imagines himself as a king, a boy, and how the queen waits for the king to grow up as they were married at a tender age and ends up disappointed for not getting an opportunity to live with him.

The movie which has got censored in October was screened at international film festivals like

Mokkho International Film Festival

, International Motion Picture Festival of India, Dehradun International Film Festival and International Open Film Festival, winning several awards.

Jeevan Gowda
