No more a bubbly girl-next-door

Kavya Shetty was recently confirmed to be part of actor Gurunandan's (First Rank Raju) new film,

Smile Please

. Reports suggested that the film has three heroines, but Kavya refutes that. 'As per the script narration that I got, there are two important female characters in the film and only one is romantically paired with Gurunandan, which is my character. The other one is played by Neha Patil,' explains Kavya.

The film, shooting for which begins next week, has the actress in a 'realistic' role. 'The character does not require me to be the quintessential bubbly girl-next-door. She is a today's woman, who is more real. Audiences will be able to relate with her,' says Kavya, who is looking forward to the release of her film with director Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar.

'Though it is an adaptation of a 30-year-old novel, Chandrashekhar sir has changed the treatment to make it for Gen Now. It is an emotional love story and I am very happy to be a part of it,' she says.
