Actress
Nikesha Patel is the latest name to be roped in by Tollywood filmmaker MS
Raju for his trilingual film RUM (
Rambha Urvashi Menaka). The actress, who will next be seen on the big screens in Varadanayaka, confirms this to BT in a chat from Wales.
Im going to be playing Urvashi in this trilingual, says Nikesha, who says this is going to be a one-of-a-kind woman-oriented film in south India.
Trisha is already on board and I will be joining the films team soon, she adds.
Over the last year, Nikesha seems to have made her foray into all four south Indian industries. Im doing a Malayalam film with Mammootty. Theres Thalaivan, my debut in Tamil. Ive already been a part of a few Kannada and Telugu films. It is a good feeling to be wanted in all the south industries, says Nikesha.
A little-known fact is that Nikesha was supposed to be the heroine of Shivarajkumars Jogaiah. But, that didnt work out. Varadanayaka was my second signing here. But, due to many reasons, the films release was pushed and so it is my third release in Kannada after Narasimha and Dakota Picture, she says.
Nikesha, meanwhile, is also looking at ensuring that 2013 will help her
Sandalwood innings. There are a lot of expectations from Varadanayaka, so much so that it is being touted as one of the most awaited releases of the year. The release will be my acid test, says Nikesha, adding that her role in this film is different compared to her previous ones in Kannada, with more glamour and zest.
