Despite the uncertainties over people willing to enter cinema halls amid the pandemic, the film team has stated that they take the risk of releasing the movie in theatres. “We hope the audiences will watch the movie and bless us. If the film becomes successful, it will give us the confidence to produce a new movie that generates employment,” they added.

‘Act 1978’, which deals with a women-centric storyline, raised curiosity among viewers with the poster of a pregnant lady holding a boy, and a walkie-talkie and a bomb tied to her waist.

This is Mansore’s third directorial. The movie also touches upon bureaucracy. Satya Hegde is the film’s cinematographer, while

Rahul Shivakumar

has scored its music. The lyrics are penned by Jayanth Kaikini and

Santhosh Panchal

is the art director. Mansore’s last movie ‘Nathicharami’, which had Sruthi Hariharan and Sanchari Vijay in the lead roles, received critical acclaim.
