Nagendra Urs, whose uncle Suresh Urs is a prolific Kannada film editor, not only has a passion for editing, but has extended his cinematic repertoire to include direction and acting. His fourth film Race – which follows his films Heart Beats, Rocky and Nage Bomb – stars Ravishanker Gowda, Sadhu Kokila, Layendra, Shafi, Manasi and Alisha, as well as Nagendra himself. According to Nagendra, all the images of the artists in this film are in reverse.

Stunt director Venkat Taekwondo is the producer of this film, while Venkat Krishi (of the Venkat-Narayan duo) is the music composer. Kiran Hampapura is the man behind the camera.
