Bringing epic tales to the big screen fascinates Kannada director
Naganna. He has done it earlier with Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna, starring
Darshan in the title role. This time around, he reunites with the actor to present the Mahabharatha to audiences from the perspective of Duryodhana. Produced by Muniratna, under his banner Vrushabadri Productions, Muniratna
Kurukeshetra hits theatres today in Kannada and Telugu.
“This is a first-of-its-kind film for Kannada audiences.
Presenting an epic in three hours is not easy, yet we have done our best to give them something to look forward to. The ensemble cast is a big draw. It is also about bringing this tale to a generation that is more in tune with the Avengers than Indian epics,” says Naganna, adding that the film is being released in both 2D and 3D versions.
