My priorities have changed: Ramya on opting out of her comeback film

Actor Ramya has decided to opt out of the movie 'Uttarakaanda', starring Dhananjaya and Shivarajkumar. “I opted out because of unavailability of dates. My priorities have changed, and I have other commitments to fulfil,” she said. Prior to this announcement, she took to social media, posting, “I will not be working on Uttarakaanda due to unavailability of dates. I’ve put my film/political commitments on hold. Wishing the team the very best!” thus putting an end to speculations regarding her comeback to films as well as her return to politics.
A source from the film’s production house confirmed the development, mentioning that they are now searching for a replacement to fill Ramya’s role. Earlier reports indicated that the production team was nearing completion of set work, with filming set to commence in April. The movie was supposed to mark Ramya’s comeback into films after 10 years.
