Music director Hamsalekha set to direct his second film

Music director-turned-filmmaker Hamsalekha is all set to direct his second film. He is likely to make an announcement in regard on March 15, says his publicist.
In his first outing as a filmmaker, Hamsalekha directed Suggi. Reports also suggest that the upcoming Kannada flick will mark the debuts of many newcomers, who were being trained under the music director in various departments of filmmaking.
He has composed music for over 300 feature films and has written lyrics for about the same number. He has also composed for Tamil and Telugu films. His popularity in the Kannada music industry rose with his tunes and lyrics in the film Premaloka (1987). He also composed for the National Award winning movie Puttakkana Highway in 2011.
