Music director Arjun Janya stable after minor heart health scare

On Thursday morning, news broke of music composer Arjun Janya having suffered a minor heart attack. Arjun, who was in Mysuru, was undergoing treatment for suspected viral gastroenteritis, when an ECG irregularity was noticed and dealt with. According to his doctors, Arjun was recovering, but continued complaining of pain in the head, abdomen and back. “Tests were repeated and although his first ECG was fine, the second one showed an anomaly and we suspected a cardiac issue.He was referred to specialist cardiac care, and underwent angiography and angioplasty in the nick of time. He is now out of danger and has been shifted to a ward from Critical Care Unit (CCU),” said an attending doctor. Sources from the hospital add that the music man is expected to be discharged from the hospital in the few days.
