Muktha miffed with makers of Brindavana

It looks like the Brindavana team is having a tough time selecting their second heroine. Milana Nagaraj, who is doing Preetham Gubbi’s Nam Duniya Nam Style, has now bagged the role and replaced Muktha as the second lead. It may be recalled that the same team had initially roped in Sangama heroine Vedhicka. But, she had to opt out due to date issues.Now, Muktha is out of the film for the same reason. Confirming the news, filmmaker Srinivasa Murthy says, “We wanted Muktha to be part of Brindavana, but she is currently shooting for a Tamil film. We requested the Tamil producer to relieve her soon to accommodate dates for our film, which they did not agree to. So we had to opt for a new heroine immediately. This time we made sure that we have a Kannada girl only.” Though, Muktha accuses the team of unprofessionalism. “I had informed the team about my other commitments prior to signing the film. Since I signed this Kannada project, I rejected a Tamil film. The Kannada team wanted two days of mine which were overlapping with my Tamil film. I later learnt that I was replaced in the film only through the media. This is unprofessional. I can now imagine what Vedhicka must have gone through when she was replaced,” says Muktha. — Contributed by Mahesh H
