Actor Mithra, who made his debut as a lead actor with the movie Raaga, has signed a new movie, Blacky. The movie is directed by Ravi Kishan who had directed movies like Girigitle.
The poster of the movie were released on his birthday. The team had planned to shoot in Bangkok in the first schedule, but it was cancelled due to the outbreak of Coronavirus.
Blacky, touted as a mystery thriller, also sees a monkey in a pivotal role. After the monkey enters in the life of protagonist, his life takes drastic turn. Mathew Manu has composed the music and Arun Suresh is the cameraman. The makes are planning to begin shooting after the lockdown is lifted. Mithra has four more films in the pipeline which will be announced in the coming days.
Mithra started his career as a comedian. He made his debut as a lead actor with critically acclaimed movie Raaga, directed by P C Shekhar. Mithra won appreciation for portraying the role of a blind person. He was last seen as a hero on the silver screen in the movie Parasanga, as an innocent village guy. The project which is set against the backdrop of a village, failed to get good response from viewers. Mithra had also entered the
Bigg Boss house as a wild card contestant in Bigg Boss Kannada season 3. He had also acted in the popular serial Silli Lalli as Jnanesha.
