Actor-director
MG Srinivas, who was last seen in
Ranganayaki, has collaborated with director Nuthan Umesh for a horror-comedy called
A Tale of Andalamma. Given that the narrative traverses across Karnataka, the team is hopeful of going on floors in September, provided the pandemic abates further by then.
Srinivas says, “I wanted to try a genre apart from thriller and rom-coms, so when Nuthan Umesh approached me with the story, I found it interesting.
A Tale of Anadalamma is about a female ghost trapped in a mud pot that reaches my home as my sister is an antique collector. How we unravel the mystery of the pot and the ghost forms the crux of the narrative.”
Meanwhile, Srinivas has also wrapped up
Old Monk. And while he was set to direct the second installment in the
Birbal Trilogy, he has pushed it further for the time being and is concentrating on acting commitments.
