Meet these four heroes

When you have a movie called Cinema My Darling, it is obvious that it has a distinct connect with the film industry. The question, though, is how, and that is exactly what director Gaurish Akki sets out to explore.
'Every day, there are dime-a-dozen people who come to Bengaluru in the hope of getting into the film industry, without any formal training, expertise or contacts.What they do have is a passion for films, and the willingness to wait patiently and work towards making their dreams a reality. The story of Cinema My Darling revolves around the trials and tribulations of some such people. The film has four main leads ' Vihaan Gowda, Manojava Galgali, Shashi Deshpande and Shreyas Narasimha ' all of whom land up in Bengaluru, the heartland of Sandalwood, to try their luck in Kannada cinema. Vihaan wants to become hero, and Manojava is intent on turning director, but on his terms; Shashi's dream is to compose music for films, while Shreyas wants to be a DoP. All four end up living in the same rented accommodation owned by the character played by Raju Thalikote, who, in turn becomes a mentor of sorts for them,' explains the director.
