is one of the main characters in

Mojo

. Although she is onscreen for only around 10 minutes, the murder sequence and the story of the sixth sense revolves around her character. Audiences will be left wondering who her character is and what her connection to the murder is till the end. Manu’s character also develops a strange connection with Aanya’s through her sixth sense, and that is the first plot in the movie.

Telling us more about the character, director Sreesha Belakvaadi says, “Aanya has no lines in the film, so everything had to be conveyed through expressions alone, making it a challenging performance. Aanya was six years old when she shot for the film and had only 2-3 weeks of rehearsals to become comfortable with the part. Initially, she was nervous and didn’t know how to face the camera, so I handled her through natural situations. When she had to laugh for a scene, we used to crack jokes and I captured her candid expressions when she laughed.”
