Mayuri Kyatari is currently elated with her lineup of films. Her latest signing, an as-yet-untitled film being helmed by
Natraj
, a debutant director who has previously worked with Guruprasad, PC Shekar and Prashanth Raj, is what she is most thrilled about.
“This film sees me playing a visually-challenged
commercial sex worker
. The film is being done in a realistic manner and will shed light on some of the harsh realities that compel women to take up this profession. Natraj has visited red light areas and researched the subject well. I am really looking forward to see how he brings this narrative on screen. We will commence shooting shortly,” she says.
Meanwhile, Mayuri also has a female-centric film and another rural subject that she is working on, both of which have her playing strong characters.
