'Max' box office collection Day 3: Kichcha Sudeep's cop action thriller mints Rs 4.15 crore

Kichcha Sudeep's latest action thriller, 'Max', has made a strong impression at the box office since its release on December 25, 2024. The film received a positive response from fans who are watching him return to the big screen after a two-and-a-half-year hiatus.

Directed by Vijay Karthikeyaa, the film features Sudeep in a powerful role as Inspector Arjun Mahakshay, who is determined to prove himself after returning from a two-month suspension.

On its opening day, 'Max' earned Rs 8.7 crore, followed by Rs 3.85 crore on the second day and Rs 4.15 crore on the third day, bringing its total earnings to approximately Rs 16.70 crore within the first three days. The film has enjoyed an impressive occupancy rate, particularly in Kannada theatres, with a notable 43.73% occupancy on December 27. The Morning Shows at 22.09%, Afternoon Shows at 52.07%, Evening Shows at 51.22% and Night Shows at 49.52%. The Telugu version of the film also saw a decent response with a 16.58% occupancy.

The plot of 'Max' revolves around Inspector Arjun Mahakshay, who finds himself in a high-stakes situation shortly after resuming duty at a new police station. Just hours before he is set to return to work, he arrests two high-profile suspects for misbehaving with women. However, chaos ensues when those suspects die in his custody, leading to an attack on Arjun and his team by vengeful henchmen.

The film features Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Samyukta Hornad, Sukrutha Wagle, Pramod Shetty, and Sunil Varma in key roles.

Fans have praised the movie for its engaging storyline and Sudeep's commanding performance. Many viewers described the film as a complete treat, filled with "whistle-worthy" moments and impressive action sequences.
