Saheba, directed by Bharat, is set to mark the debut of
Sandalwood's Crazy Star V Ravichandaran's son Manoranjan. The team has been quietly but steadily shooting for the film and we hear that nearly 50% is complete as of now. 'We are soon heading to Italy to shoot some songs and pivotal scenes,' says Manoranjan, adding that he's very excited that his debut film is relying on the content and not any hype, especially concerning him as a star son.
'This is a cute love subject, which focuses on human emotions. I wanted to do a film in which the script stands out, as opposed to anything else. I know that people would have expected Ravichandaran's son to have a stylish, lavish launch vehicle. But I want to concentrate on delivering a film that will appeal to all, which is why I chose this story,' adds Manoranjan.
The youngster is well aware that there will be comparisons to his father, who is known for both his aesthetic sensibilities as well as his romantic image in films. 'I know that there are many expectations, considering I am my father's son. But, I don't want to give in to them and be typecast into an image. I don't want to be branded as someone who does only one type of films. I'm hoping to take it one film at a time,' says Manoranjan.
