If there is good, there must be bad as well
He plays a practical man, who is not religious and does not believe in the paranormal, but in real life,
The RJ-turned-actor says that the character of his third movie is very subtle. 'I play a civil engineer, who is a very practical man. He is goal-oriented. He wants to buy back the house that his father lost, which he does from Jai Jagadish and Suhasini's characters after the Naani episode. His wife (played by Priyanka Rao), meanwhile, is very religious,' says Manish.
The actor has been a part of the film since its inception, and even went with director Sumanth to the actual house in Navsari, Gujarat, which is said to be haunted. I went with Sumanth to research for the film, but I must admit that I came out of the house a little while after I entered it. There were thousands of bats in the house, as it had been locked up since 1997, and bats tend to attack on the face, especially the eyes. I didn't want to risk any injury to my face, as I had two movies in my kitty. It was a practical decision,' says Manish. So, is Manish practical like his character? And did he encounter any spooky incidents? 'I am a very god-fearing person and believe that there are good and bad elements. Although I didn't have any experiences, Priyanka and my other team mates did,' he says, signing off.
