Maniratnam's next is a Kannada film?

It was way back in the 1983 when Kannada cinema was treated to Pallavi Anu Pallavi, a movie that starred Anil Kapoor and was directed by Maniratnam. It has been over 30 years since and it looks like the ace director may finally make a comeback to Kannada films.
The director was recently in town for the 8th International Film Festival. When asked if Maniratnam would make another Kannada movie, the director revealed that if everything falls into place, then he will take up producer SV Rajendra Singh Babu's offer of producing a movie that would be directed by Maniratnam.We are keeping our fingers crossed!
