Manipal International Film Festival starts today

The third edition of the annual Manipal International Film Festival (MIFF), which is being organized by Manipal University (MU), has started today and will end on Sunday, April 20. The three-day event will feature Bengali, Marathi, Malayalam, Tulu and Kannada movies, as well a few Bollywood and international films. Prominent filmmakers from across the country will also participate in discussions. Some of the speakers include Girish Kasarvalli, Marathi filmmaker Sumitra Bhave, critic N Manu Chakravarthy, filmmaker Pawan Kumar, Konkani filmmaker Rajendra Talak, filmmaker PN Ramchandra, director Abhaya Simha, actress Sukrutha Waghle, actor Kishore, actor and director Rakshit Shetty, actress Yagna Shetty, and Marathi filmmaker Sunil Sukthankar.
