Malavika Avinash mourns Jayakanthan's death

Tamil writer, journalist, filmmaker and critic Jayakanthan passed away earlier today at the age of 81. The entire country is mourning the passing of the Jnanpith and Sahitya Akademi Awards, including our very own actress-turned-politician Malavika Avinash.
Calling Jayakanthan a revolutionary, Malavika tweeted, "Jayakanthan's pen shook the existing & founded revolutionary new beliefs! An irreplaceable writer!Salutations to the departed soul!"
Jayakanthan was revered by many for the various talents that he possessed.He was infamously known for his arrogance and multi-dimensional personality, which helped him excel in many fields. He was even admired and respected by prominent Tamil Nadu politicians such as CN Annadurai, M Karunanidhi and Kannadasan.
