Making Ondalla Eradalla was sensitive and risky: D Satya Prakash

For team

Ondalla Eradalla

, winning two awards is a big reason to celebrate. While the film won for the

Best Film

for National Integration, young PV Rohith is one of the

Best Child Actor

winners. “Our subject certainly is the need of the hour. The film showed how there can be innocence and peaceful co-existence in society. The film is about a young

Muslim

boy and his missing

cow

. It is very sensitive subject, if we look at the basic premise, and, hence, it was a big risk. Writing the film was very tough, as I had to narrate a social issue through the point of view of a child. I am glad that it has worked for the jury. The added celebration is that Rohith has won an award too. He has stayed with the team for nearly four months to internalise his character and the award validates the same,” says director D Satya Prakash.
