Maanikya release pushed to April
It's official. Namma Kichcha Sudeep's latest directorial Maanikya will not release for Ugadi. Several weeks ago, the actor-director had tweeted that his new film would be a festival special, but it's now confirmed that it will release only in April. Sudeep took to his micro-blogging site to announce the same. "Maanikya release has been pushed to April...Will update the date soon.

.. Audio to hit stands max before March 25," he wrote.
Maanikya stars Sudeep and Rebel Star Ravichandaran and was expected to be one of the big releases this Ugadi. The festive season was also supposed to see the release of Rakshit Shetty's directorial debut Ulidavaru Kandanthe, but sources say that it may not meet this deadline as it is yet to be censored. "The Censor Board chief is on election duty and not available till March 24. So getting certification after that and then releasing in a day or two may not be possible," says the source.
It would now appear that the Ugadi battle is between Ragini IPS, Nimbe Huli and Endendu Ninagaagi.
