Be it Sanju Weds Geetha or Mathe Mungaru,
Srinagara Kitty is known to do films that tend to tread the off-beaten path, but are presented in a commercial package. And this is what today’s release, Siliconn City, produced by Sai Kannada Circle, promises. Ask him why this is a film that people must watch this week, and he says, “It’s a wonderful film that is made with love and passion.
There are no double entendres. It’s a film for the youth, families, parents and kids, which speaks about human values, love and friendship, all of which is presented neatly.”
The way the film is picturized, adds Kitty, will make audiences feel like they are standing next to the actors and not sitting in a theatre and watching them. He says, “Around 40% of the film has been shot at night, using available light, for which the cameraman has used special equipment. Since director
Murali Gurappa is an editor as well, he and editor Srikanth have used new techniques to connect the scenes. The movie is a visual treat for all those who love me and the kinds of films that I do.” The release is extra special to the actor, considering that he will be seen on the big screen after a break of over two years.
Apart from this, the songs of the film are also a big draw. “There are five songs; each in a different genre. The director wanted the lyrics of each song to stand out and not have the music overshadowing the lyrics. In keeping with this, lyricist Arasu Anthare and music director
Anoop Seelin have done a wonderful job,” adds Kitty.
