Lopamudra Raut to debut in Kannada alongside Hemanth Hegde

Actor and director Hemanth Hegde will be acting in and directing a comedy film called Nam Maani Madve Prasanga which sees him sharing screen space with Bollywood actress and Miss India finalist Lopamudra Raut. Incidentally, Hemanth had collaborated with Lopamudra for yet another Hindi film called Blood Story in 2018.
The story is said to be based on an existing social situation in coastal Karnataka.“Due to the impact of urbanization and modernization, parents in villages, especially in parts of North Canara and South Canara, are not willing to get their daughters married to eligible young men who are pursuing agriculture even if the latter is well off. Because of this, grooms of this region have been looking for prospective brides in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Based on these and my own experiences, this is a story of a 35-year-old guy, who has obviously crossed the ‘marriageable age’. It is a hilarious take on the personal challenges and societal pressures he faces,” explains Hemant. He adds, “We are happy to have Lopamudra on board for the same. We plan to begin shoot in September.”
