Likith Shetty, who debuted years ago with Nam Duniya Nam Style and then stayed away from films as his tryst as an entrepreneur took off, returned to cinema with the comedy Sankashta Kara Ganapathi, directed by Arjun Kumar. And it looks like he will now stick to acting, having signed a film called Family Pack that he will be shooting for soon, and another quirky subject to be directed by Anil Meravanige, who had worked as an associate for movies like Bell Bottom and Neer Dose.
“After we complete work on Family Pack, for which I will collaborate with director Arjun again.Thereafter, we will begin Anil Meravanige’s project. While we are fine-tuning the script now, what I can say is that it is a content-oriented subject. What I can reveal is that the storyline has a connection to something that happened 100 years ago to the actual timeline of the narrative," says Likith.
Meanwhile, the actor is gearing up to start shooting for Family Pack, which is being backed by Power Star
Puneeth Rajkumar's banner in September. Likith is paired with
Amrutha Iyengar in the film, which also stars Rangayana Raghu, Achyuth Kumar, Dattanna, Tilak and Nagabhushan. Gurukiran will fill in as music director. “Our earlier plan was to shoot in March, but due to the pandemic it got postponed. Now that shoots are resuming, we are planning to start in September with all precautionary measures in place,” he sums up.
