Learn about cinema from Dr Girish Kasaravalli

New opportunities of learning come up everyday in different fields and the film industry, being an interesting subject, the opportunities should be more. No wonder then, some of the well known names in the industry are coming up with innovative ideas to promote film learning. Now, KV Subbanna Aptha Samooha headed by Dr Girish Kasaravalli, will acquaint people with changing trends of cinema with focus on world classic and contemporary films.
The group will meet every Sunday at 4pm to start by watching a film which will then be followed by a discussion for two hours on the film. The aim right now is to do it every Sunday but if the schedules of people involved don’t permit that, it will be made a fortnightly affair. They will initially start with screening films from Europe, USA and other western countries, then move on to eastern ones and finally Indian films. The fourth week will be about short films made in Karnataka.
