Lakshmi Rai’s Tamil film goes to Bollywood?

Bollywood has been looking down south for inspiration for a long time now, no wonder then so many south films have been remade over the years. Now it is the time for director PT Selvakumar’s Onbadhula Guru which had two Kannada actors, Lakshmi Rai and Vinay Rai in the lead. The rights of the film have been bought by one of the leading producers of Bollywood, Sajid Nadiadwala who had earlier remade the Malayalam film Mattupetti Machan in Hindi as Housefull 2.Onbadhulu Guru is a comedy flich which had Vinay Rai, Premji Amaren, Aravind Akash and Lakshmi Rai playing key roles. The film which released recently did not fare well at the box-office and opened to mixed reviews so as it comes as surprise that Sajid wants to remake the film in Hindi. It will be interesting to see though who is cast in the film to reprise the roles of Lakshmi and Vinay.
