It was on April 16 that the Krishna Ajai Rao and Apurva starrer horror thriller Krishna Talkies released in cinema halls. The team had won some favourable reviews from cinema lovers and critics too. But the weekend saw an increase in the number of cases in the state, especially in the capital city of Bengaluru. With cases crossing fifteen thousand in the state and the numbers seeing a further increase, the team has decided to withdraw the film from cinema halls to ensure everyone remains safe.
The team was to have a press meet annoucing the same news today, but they decided to cancel that too, since they wanted to prevent any sort of congregation. The team has stated that they plan on releasing the film once again once the situation becomes alright and want people to watch the film without any worries.
There were, incidentally, around five films that were supposed to hit the screens last weekend. But three out of those, which included Ninna Sanihake, decided to opt out from releasing in cinema halls owing to the second wave of Covid-19. Krishna Talkies and Rewind hit the screens last Friday. Now, the team has decided that the welfare of the audience is more important and has decided to opt out of cinema halls for now.
