Kochadaiiyaan, a birthday gift for Rajinikanth?

According to sources, the upcoming film Kochadaiiyaan, will be released on superstar Rajnikanth's birthday on December 12.
The first trailer of the highly anticipated Tamil period film Kochadaiiyaan starring superstar Rajini which was unveiled on September 9 has garnered over 1 million views on a video-sharing website. Audiences across Karnataka are eagerly waiting for Rajni Sir's upcoming film, who originally hails from Bangalore and did several hit Kannada films Thappida Thala, Garjana, Maathu Tappada Maga, andKumkuma Rakshe, to name a few.
Reports also suggested that Rajinikanth starrer film was expected to be released during Diwali. With Diwali falling on November 2 (Saturday), the film could most likely hit the screens on November 1 (Friday), reveals a source. Kochadaiiyaan is a Tamil period film that has Rajinikanth, Deepika Padukone, Sarathkumar, Rukmini Vijaykumar, and Nassar, among others. The film, which was shot with motion capture in 3D, has cinematography by Rajiv Menon and soundtrack composed by AR Rahman.
