Kishore and Krishi Thapanda team up for a crime suspense thriller

The film is the directorial debut of Rivan Vikram

Actors Kishore

and Krishi Thapanda were in

Mysuru

recently, shooting a montage song around city landmarks. The film, as it turns out, is the directorial debut of

Rivan Vikram

, who remains tightlipped about the film, except that it is a crime suspense thriller and its title is the numeric version of the number

five

, written in Kannada script. While the film has been in production for a while and got further delayed because of the

pandemic

, Rivan is now looking at winding up, with another schedule in Mysuru this week.

Krishi, incidentally, was signed up for the film during the lockdown, as the team was on the lookout for a leading lady. “My character is that of a journalist with strong political leanings. In fact, when the team explained the role to me, they said it was a lot like the late Gauri Lankesh. Kishore plays a police officer in the film, which finds its bearing in the pancha bhoota – the elements of earth, water, fire, air and space. The story transpires in two time frames, one set in the 80s and the other in modern day. We recently shot for the period portions in Mysuru, and should be able to wind up soon,” says the actress, who was seen getting Kishore to click her pictures at the location.
