Actor Kiran Srinivas, who marked his return of sorts to Sandalwood with Apoorva Kasaravalli’s Niruttara, has signed his next in Sandalwood. This is a travel film, which will be directed by newbie director Sunil, who hails from the corporate background. “I met
Sunil during the making of Niruttara. I loved his story. What also touched me most was how he told me that he wrote the film keeping me in mind.
The film is titled Onthara Bannagalu and we begin shooting in September," adds Kiran. Joining Kiran in the cast will be Chethan Chandra, Hitha Chandrashekhar and
Sonu Gowda. The film will have cinematography by Manohar Joshi.
Meanwhile, Kiran is currently filming a Hindi-English film, which is an Indian-American collaboration. "This film is titled Chitrakoot and is being directed by
Himanshu Malik. The film is about Mumbai and is shown from the perspective of the outside world. The film is being made especially for festivals like Sundance, Cannes and Toronto," reveals Kiran about this film.
