Dalip Singh Rana, popularly known as The Great
Khali, is all set to make his Kannada debut in Rocky Somil’s film, Kendada Seragu.
Rocky, who met Khali in Mumbai, tells us, “The film is based on wrestling. When we narrated the script, Khali liked it and immediately gave a green signal. He will join us for shoot in the first week of April. His
portions will be shot in Bengaluru.”
Khali, who will play a wrestler in the film, is the first Indian-born
WWE heavyweight champion.
A trained wrestler, he became a legend of sorts with his WWE Hall of Fame. Known for his towering presence,
Khali has been active as an actor in both Bollywood and Hollywood, and has appeared in a few TV shows, too. He was the runner-up in Bigg Boss Hindi, in 2011.
Kendada Seragu is said to be a woman-centric film based on Rocky’s book by the same name. It features Malashree, as a police commissioner, and
Bhoomi Shetty, as a wrestler.
Sindhu Loknath will feature in a cameo, as a writer.
