KGF baddie John Kokken and wife Pooja are enjoying the lush greenery of the Kodagu region

Actor John Kokken, who is a popular face in Sandalwood, as far as negative characters go, has been in Coorg for the past few days. The model-actor, who is based out of Chennai, and his wife, fellow actress Pooja Ramachandran, are both fitness enthusiasts, whose social media timelines are flooded with workout videos. So, when they were called in to be the ambassadors of an upcoming fitness retreat, the duo wasted no time and drove down to shoot the promo for the event.
“The event is in October, but Pooja and I came to shoot for its promotional video. While the idea of an event about fitness has us excited, being in the lush greenery of the Kodagu region is amazing. We’ve been exploring nature, amid the rain and it’s fantastic,” says the actor, who will return home later this week.
But John will return to Bengaluru soon enough, considering that he is a part of two under-production biggies – KGF: Chapter 2 and Kabzaa. “I had only four scenes in KGF: Chapter 1, but this time around, there’s a lot more for my character to do. As for Kabzaa, it is my fourth film with R Chandru, a filmmaker I just cannot say no to,” he says.
The actor says that he is in discussion for another Kannada movie, but insists that it is too early to divulge details. He is, in the meantime, looking forward to the release of Yuvarathnaa, which will be his next in Sandalwood.
