Audiences will be given an insight into the annual fish-catching event, unique to the Malnad region, in Kerebete. The Gowri Shankar and Bindu Shivaram-starrer, which is directed by Raj Guru B and produced by Janamana Cinemas, releases today.
Gowri Shankar, who also penned the story, says, “The film revolves around Hullimanne Naga, a farmer who takes on odd jobs to make ends meet. The story themes of love, betrayal, and village enmity. The Malnad dialect used in the script is easy to understand. The screenplay, too, is very refreshing and is sure to take audiences on a thrilling journey. Folk songs and realistic stunts have been incorporated, which will add to the viewing experience.”
