The 1971 black-and-white film Kannada film Kasturi Nivasa, which is considered a classic, is set to be released later this month. The poster for the colour version has been released and shows the late Dr Rajkumar with the iconic dove from the film perched on his shoulder. Kasturi Nivasa was originally supposed to be shot in colour, but the idea was shelved for financial reasons.
The film's producer, KCN Gowda, was in the middle of the colour-conversion work, but the work was left incomplete when he passed away last year. His sons then took up the work, and the first copy of the colour version of the film is slated to be ready by April 10. The plan is to release the film on April 24, Dr Rajkumar's birthday.
