This episode of #QuickTakesWithBangaloreTimes saw
actor Karthik Jayaram
talking about filmmakers who have made a mark in his career. "These are the directors with whom I have worked and they have made a huge difference in my career," says Karthik...
Ravi SrivatsaMy debut in the
Kananda industry
was with his movie Deadly-2. My role was very small but the way he projected the role gave me exposure and a good position in the industry. He is a great scriptwriter, film director and a fantastic technician. I hope I work a lot more with him in the future.
SudeepAnother director was Sudeep sir in the Kempegowda movie. He is immensely creative and hardworking. He knows what he wants and doesn't stop till he gets that. Throughout the shoot, I was with him and it was quite a learning experience. He was the first person to come on the set and used to sleep for just a few hours during the entire filmmaking. He used to do a lot of homework before coming to the set every day. Even after the film was completed, he worked tirelessly for the success of the project.
D Rajendra BabuThe late director had given me an opportunity to work in the movie
Kuchiku Kuchiku
as the lead. He had worked with legendary actors like Rebel Star Ambareesh,
Vishnuvardhan sir and he was calm and composed. With his experience, he knew what to extract from an actor and I am very glad I got an opportunity to work with him. I miss him a lot.
Kishan
I got to work with him in
Care of Footpath 2 where he gave me the part of a police officer. He had also written the script. The movie was based on a social subject - child juvenile justice. At that age, writing and visualising a story on a serious topic is commendable.
Dayal PadmanabhanI worked with him for Aa Karala Ratri and Puta 109. This director eats, drinks and sleeps cinema and that is the passion he has for films. I am so glad I worked with such a creative mind.
