'Kantara' beats 'KGF Chapter 1' globally; Rishab Shetty starrer becomes the second biggest hit in Kannada cinema

The new pan-India film's sensation refuses to slow down as box office collection is there to prove it. The new box office feat achieved by the Rishab Shetty starrer is certainly something that not even the makers would've imagined at the time of release. However, the Kantara box office collection has again pulled off the inconceivable by now beating 'KGF Chapter 1' worldwide.
Already 'Kantara' has reportedly beaten the footfalls of both 'KGF 1' and 'KGF 2'.'Kantara' has sold 77 lakh tickets in Karnataka, which has edged it past both 'KGF' movies. The previous record holder in Karnataka wasn't 'KGF Chapter 2', but 'KGF Chapter 1' with 75 lakh tickets, while the former had sold 72 lakh tickets.
So far 'Kantara' has amassed ₹115 crore nett at the box office in Karnataka, and it's almost certain to beat the business of both 'KGF 1' and 'KGF 2' to eventually become the highest-grossing film in the state. It's also likely to be the first film across any language to cross 1 crore footfalls in the state seeing the speed 'Kantara' has been blasting records at the box office.
